1995 Ford Mustang Specs & Details
Fresh one year out from the new design, the 1995 SN95 Mustang looks and handles better than ever before in the
Mustang name, with its modern design and high-powered engine bringing out the muscle car we have loved for decades.
With this new design that we’re still learning more about, we have gotten a look at how serious Ford is at not only
improving the Mustang name but in keeping it on proper performance vehicles with the same driving styles we’ve come
to expect and love. We’re excited to see the upcoming changes to the platform as Ford has teased us with some
platform updates in the near future.
The new body style is growing on us with its modern looks both inside and out of the car, keeping us more than
impressed. With every engine option putting out substantial torque figures to spin the rear tires with ease, the
Mustang puts a smile on our faces in any configuration. The performance figures as well are on par with what we had
expected from the base model and the GT fitted with the high-output 5.0 liter V8. The V8 in particular continues to
put a smile on our faces after every drive regardless of distance or intention.
Most impressively is the Cobra which generally sits atop the Mustang lineup. With 240 horsepower under your right
foot, the Cobra is a thrill-seeker’s choice for which car to choose. Over the normal Mustang and even the beloved
GT, the Cobra shines through as one of the most engaging Mustangs to date. The combination of high-revving V8 muscle
and modern sports car styling works perfectly together to make a very special car, even among other Cobras.
If you want to turn up the power even more, Ford has developed the most powerful Cobra to date - the Cobra R. Fitted
with a 5.8L V8, the Cobra R is a limited edition only available to NHRA or SCCA licensed drivers, as it is too much
for the average driver to handle in theory. After seeing how successful the R was in 1993, the return of the model
is more than welcome by enthusiasts everywhere. These cars are built to compete, and as a result, outperform just
about everything they would compete with.
