Engine
In the early S197 Mustangs from 2005 to 2010, one of the defining features for these cars was the engine. When it was new, the 300 horsepower engine may not have even been the top in power but it made up for it in torque and reliability. These engines - paired with the classic body style - were great to drive and were responsive in a way that many cars at their price point weren't. These engines could handle a lot of upgrades but primarily took advantage of their durable construction and the upgrades we developed worked every bit of power out of these engines reliably.
The 3-valve motor benefited well from upgrades such as new underdrive pulleys and many commonly upgraded engine components. Upgrades like performance pulleys, improved engine mounts, cams, and more, were easily able to bring dramatically more power out of these motors. These engines, when built with these performance parts, can hang with the best of the other performance cars of the era.
