Reduce intake air temperatures. The F-150 Mega Cooler has been tested to lower temperatures up to 60 degrees Fahrenheit on the dyno. On the street and at the track, even better temperatures are possible. This reduction in temperature will result in great gains in power! The reduced temperatures let you increase the spark advance and get more oxygen into the engine for increased power. It provides more consistent power, faster recovery times, and maintains safety from detonation.
Bar and plate core for better heat transfer. Constructed using a bar and plate core, the intercooler promotes heat transfer for more efficient operation than tube and fin cores. The intercooler features a 54% greater volume and offset fin on the hot and cold side for even greater cooling capacity. There is 8% more surface area to help your truck shed heat and stay cool.
High-flow intake. To let your truck breathe, Whipple designed a high-flow intake that maximizes air speed and reduces restrictions so that the twin turbos have access to the air that they demand. This provides a 132% improvement in airflow, letting your truck operate at its peak. A built-in velocity stack also helps increase the performance and benefits of the filter, creating smoother airflow. The filter is also washable and reusable so you no longer have to purchase replacement air filters when servicing your F-150. The intake also provides a sportier sound with a unique induction whine.
Unleash your EcoBoost. Designed for 91 octane fuel or higher, this tune maximizes the performance of your Ford. The calibration provides +80ft-lbs of torque, coming on from 2,000rpm to give you more power and throttle response. The +30hp increase also helps your F-Series feel livelier and sportier when you drive.
More fun to drive. Whipple didn't stop with a bump in power. The team at Whipple also adjusted the shift points of your Ford so that you can utilize the increased torque and have a more exciting drive. Improved pedal mapping changes the way that your vehicle responds when you get on the gas. The speed limit of the truck is increased to 135mph, auto start/stop is removed, and the RPM range is increased with the tune.
