The Proxes TQ tire is designed with weekend racers and high-performance street cars in mind. You can be confident when launching your car at the track, passing through the trap at high speeds, and driving on the street in dry conditions. The tread design of the tire helps to provide a good contact patch when launching yet minimize road noise and provide streetable characteristics.
Product Benefits
Outer tread for the street. The Proxes TQ utilizes an asymmetrical tread pattern to give you the best of both a street tire and a competition tire. The outer tread features a special variable pitch design that helps reduce noise on the street. This means you can drive them on the street without a lot of road noise like other drag radials and racing tires.
Inner tread for the track. A semi-slick inner tread is the other half of the dual-purpose tread design. This increases traction and is excellent for independent rear suspension vehicles like the 2015+ S550 Mustang. The inner tread offers consistent traction and grip on straight axle vehicles like 1979-1993 Fox Body, 1994-2004 SN95, and 2005-2014 S197 Mustangs.
