This plate bolts to the base shifter lever and then the upper handle bolts to the plate. It moves the handle back closer to the driver for an easier reach. Highly recommended for 94-04 Mustangs (May hit the console on 79-93. Fitment not verified). The plate has an angled bolt pattern which allows the handle to be tilted forward or backwards to suit the drivers preference by simply turning the plate over.
