This oil is specifically formulated to protect critical valvetrain and camshaft components, as well as help piston rings seat to the cylinder walls. This break-in oil combines highly refined mineral oil with an advanced additive package containing high levels of zinc and phosphorus for ultimate wear protection. Royal Purple recommends this oil be used for a minimum of 500-1,000 miles in street driven gas engines before switching to one of their synthetic oils.
