The open-top seals against your hood to keep hot air out from your engine bay out of the intake. This results in greater power and performance. The kit includes an 85mm MAF insert that does not require tuning your car, or you can get a custom tune and remove the insert for a 105mm MAF bore for even better performance and power.
Easy to maintain. The special dry filter that is used utilizes dual wire mesh layers that are durable and will not collapse. The filter is washable and reusable, making it a convenient upgrade over the factory intake. No oiling is required either, so there are no concerns about over oiling.
Noticeable improvements. Roush maximizes the potential of their intake. This provides excellent airflow, fuel efficiency, and power. Airflow restriction is reduced when compared to the factory intake and with the cooler air that the intake draws in, your Mustang could gain some power and have a quicker response to throttle inputs. Even without a tune, this intake can improve power by up to 10hp and 8 ft-lbs of torque.
