Richmond Gear Mini spools fit 1979-2014 Mustangs with 8.8" and 31 spline axles. This easy to install, budget friendly race part is a great alternative to limited slip diffs for racers on a budget. Since there is no differentiation around corners, we don't recommend it for street use or track use other than straight line drag racing. Forged from 4140 alloy steel and heat treated afterwards, this unit will convert your non-limited slip open differential to a fully locked unit with consistent torque bias to the left or right wheels as there are no clutches, friction modifier or other factors that affect operation. Unlike a full spool, mini spools use your OE carrier, cross pin and c-clip axles without having to convert to c-clip eliminator type axles.
