True dual conversion. Pypes catted x-pipes for 1998-2004 V-6 Mustangs allow you to convert your factory single exhaust to a true V-8 style dual cat-back exhaust. Must be used with a 99-04 cat-back exhaust system.
48 state legal. Pypes catalytic converters are EPA complaint construction and legal in most states depending on county or city emission testing regulations. This assembly in not legal in California due to CARB emission regulations.
Quality construction. Pypes h-pipe assemblies are built from 16-gauge, mandrel bent, 2.5 inch diameter, T409 stainless steel to withstand the toughest road conditions. T409 exhausts are a great choice for people, as it is a more budget friendly option but can still withstand inclement weather. It will develop surface rust over time, but it will not rust through.
X-pipe sound and performance. Due to their low restriction cats and mandrel bent tubes, this piece will increase horsepower above and beyond the OE original restrictive single outlet pipe. The X-pipe crossover is meant to increase top end power and will produce a loud authoritative note with some rasp at WOT.
