At the heart of Mountune's intercooler upgrade is a 15 row bar and plate core that is leaps and bounds more efficient than the OE FMIC as well as boasting 37.5% more internal volume. This intercooler is one full inch thicker than the OE to maximize surface area and volume while fitting lengthwise and widthwise in the factory location with no mods whatsoever. Free flowing cast end tanks increase volume, but more importantly provide less flow restriction than the plastic molded OE factory heat charge air cooler tanks.
+25 Fahrenheit IAT decrease. With more volume and surface area plus the added benefit of less pressure drop, this unit is +10% higher efficiency than OE with consistent (96-99%) efficiency under heavy load. Your IAT (inlet air temperature) will be significantly lower especially when towing heavy loads or slogging through deep mud and sand.
Direct fit and function. Use of this intercooler does not affect your AGS (Active Grille Shutters) so warm up time and mileage won't suffer. Trucks with Adaptive Cruise Control retain 100% functional operation so safety is not compromised as well. The included 4-layer Aramid fiber reinforced hoses will not burst or fail due to high heat or blow off under high boost pressures.
