If you are the Mustang owner that likes to fine-tune your ride and perfect it over time, the xMOD cat-back exhaust is the perfect system for you. Design the system the way you want it and change the tone and volume however you want, whenever you want.
Completely modular. The customization that the xMOD cat-back system offers is unrivaled. The kit allows you to adjust the volume, tone, and performance that the exhaust provides. If your Mustang is equipped with the active exhaust system, the xMOD exhaust kit allows you to retain the functionality of the system. You can adjust the exhaust to 4 different sound levels; stealth, street, competition, or race.
Unrivaled quality. MagnaFlow's xMOD system is made from T409 stainless steel which will not rust through, although it may develop surface rust. The system utilizes v-band clamps for easy, quick, and secure connections between the different components.
Control your Non-Active exhaust system. The system includes a straight-through XTREME bypass that lets you control the sound level of your exhaust. The bypass features removable restrictor discs that let you control the system. Run the bypass without the valves for a raw and track-ready exhaust, or close off the bypass for a more tame exhaust that will still make other drivers jealous. The discs can be installed or removed quickly and easily thanks to the v-band clamps and easy to access location. There is no need to even jack up the car.
Compatibility with the Active exhaust system. If your Mustang is equipped with an active exhaust, no worries, the xMOD system includes valves to let you retain the factory controls. Simply swap over the solenoids from the factory exhaust system and the valves are ready to go. You then have control over the sound of your MagnaFlow exhaust from the comfort of your cabin.
Header ready. For those of you looking to upgrade your Mustang over time and get more performance, the xMOD system can adapt and includes adaptor pipes for headers. The adaptors change the connections from the factory design to 3 inch long tube header connections.
MagnaFlow Tru-X pipes. To make sure you get the best performance possible MagnaFlow includes their Tru-X systems. The Tru-X muffler features a unique internal perforated x-pipe that utilizes the same technology used in their mufflers. The Tru-X XTREME delete is designed to deliver a raw sound with no restriction. The delete is installed when you want a more aggressive sound and the best performance. Choose the sound level and performance you want, and easily swap anytime you want to change things up.
No drone with NDT mufflers. The MagnaFlow system eliminates drone and refines the exhaust note with the addition of quarter-wave Helmholtz resonators to the No Drone Technology mufflers. The resonators help eliminate unwanted frequencies that would cause drone at low RPMs. The resonators can also be removed if you are looking for a more raw and track-ready sound.
