Improved rear stability. Towing and adding heavy items to your truck such as tool boxes and toppers increase your Ranger's tendency to sway or roll side to side around corners or during emergency highway lane changes. Your stock springs cannot control body roll unless at the expense of an exceptionally stiff ride which can cause loss of tire contact on rough roads as well as understeer. A sway bar provides the best combination of safety and comfort with stock leaf springs.
Bolt on install. Welding and cutting is not required with Hellwig's kit. Using basic hand tools and PPE, the bar can be installed in your driveway in an hour or so time with minimal effort.
Adjustable body roll. Hellwig's coined bar ends offer 3 levels of adjustability. Attaching the endlinks to the holes at the very end of the bar will provide the best ride on uneven surfaces with the least amount of roll control. Mounting the endlinks to the holes furthest from the end will provide maximum roll control with a rougher ride on uneven surfaces. The middle hole setting will provide a more average ride on uneven surfaces with corresponding roll control. Ride comfort over speed bumps or other level road obstacles will not be affected by adjusted bar stiffness.
Tough construction. Hellwig bars are formed from solid chromoly bar stock and heat treated afterwards for a lifetime of service. The bars are chemically treated prior to receiving a hammer finish powder coat to provide industry leading resistance to road salt, salt and other abuse encountered during driving. Polyurethane bushings wont degrade or become mushy like their rubber counterparts.
Note: Hellwig sway bars are designed to work with stock diff cover and may not work with some aftermarket increased fluid capacity diff covers. Will not fit with some aftermarket suspension lift kits.
