When their customers asked for it, Flaming River delivered the newest addition to Manual Rack & Pinion steering is lighter than the OEM EPAS (electronic power assisted steering) S550 Mustang power system. Depending on specifications, it will reduce vehicle weight by 10-15 lbs by eliminating hoses, pulleys and pumps. The billet aluminum mounting brackets can also be adjusted to modify the pinion angle for large tube headers and engine swaps in custom applications. Using these are a great way to streamline the engine to the compartment while maintaining smooth, responsive steering. Designed to meet the standards of professional street rod and race car chassis builders.
Note: This specific Rack requires a 9/16"-26 U-Joint for installation.
