A stage 1 clutch kit is a perfect option for enthusiasts with lightly modified engines that want a streetable clutch that can hold up to the demands of their Mustang. Exedy uses an Ultra-Fiber clutch material that is resistant to high heat, slippage, and burst with the stage 1 clutch kit. The material was developed by altering the ratio of the high-strength fiber and copper wire. The resulting compound has the same feel as the stock clutch but the benefits of a performance clutch.
A higher clamping load to allow the clutch to handle more power. The clutch cover was improved with a greater clamping load. This gives the clutch a greater torque capacity and makes it a great option for modified cars with performance improvements. The increased clamping load will give the clutch a slightly heavier feel.
