One of the lowest points on the SUV, the rear shock mount is in a vulnerable place and is exposed to the hazards of the trail. With these skid plates, there is no need to worry, though, as this 3/16 inch thick powder-coated steel plate offers great protection.
Non-permanent, bolt-on solution. These plates require no permanent modifications and do not even require removing the rear shock bolt. Simply loosen the rear shock nut, slip the bracket onto the bolt and around the shock mount, install the hardware, and torque the shock nut.
