April 2nd is the time and South Georgia Motorsports Park is the place. The 2nd Annual Pony Wars event happening and this now annual event is open to any American made car from Ford, GM, and Mopar. With an expected huge turnout with some of the best performance cars around, this will most certainly be an event that will be talked about and remembered for quite a long period of time.
The entire event begins at our Steeda Valdosta facility at 7:00 am where we will host a breakfast and a "behind the scenes" plant tour of our most modern state of the art facility as well as many Steed vehicles that will be on display. Following that, there will be an escorted procession of vehicles to the remarkable South Georgia Motorsports Park where a full day of racing and cars shows is planned.
Once at the track it will feature special "Grudge Racing" matchups until 1:00 pm when the action will then turn to "Heads Up" racing which will be started by a Pinks style arm drop protocol. There can be no sleeping at the starting tree as prizes will be awarded to the top finishers based on elapsed time and top speed. A special car show, hosted by MMJAX (Modern Mustangs of Jacksonville) will provide eye candy for everyone as well as prizes for the top vehicles on display.
Just to keep things interesting and honest please note that all cars must be street cars with valid tags and insurance. Slicks are welcome this year, but not required.
All of this excitement can be had for the very nominal price of $25 to race (includes everything). If you do not want to race but instead still want to be part of the fun and excitement, General Admission tickets are just $10. There is no signup needed, just show up and enjoy!
