Rear Spoilers & Wings
We all want our cars to stand out on the road as well as perform to their best ability on the racetrack and to do so requires increasing your car's downforce for better handling. On the second generation S197 Mustangs from 2011-2014, the newly upgraded motors put out dramatically better performance and as a result were raced and driven more aggressively than many had done in the past. The best way to ensure your S197 will be able to handle high-speed cornering is with the addition of a rear wing as it pushes the tail of your car to the ground better.
Found usually on racing builds, many different types of wing are available for the S197 ranging from low profile duckbill wings to full track use wings sitting high on the rear of the car. These generate massive downforce at high speeds by pushing air over them and pushing the car onto the ground harder than before. Even the lower profile spoilers and duckbill spoilers are able to generate a noticeable difference in downforce while driving at higher speed. While improving performance, these wings also enhance the looks of your S197 Mustang by adding some performance styling.
