Brake Rotors

When Ford brought out the second-generation S197 with the new Coyote 5-liter V8, the need for higher performance brakes and rotors increased further than ever. With a more powerful platform and better handling designed for high-speed driving, the 2011-2014 Mustang came from the factory with higher quality brakes than before. As good as they were, the brake rotors could always be better and more performance-oriented. By upgrading the rotors of the car, the performance increase is noticeable because you will be able to stop faster meaning holding speed longer before braking as well, helping with making your car more confidence-inspiring to drive.

Upgrading the factory rotors to higher performance rotors is incredibly beneficial for performance applications. Larger rotors, drilled rotors, and slotted rotors all function in improving your braking performance. With drilled or slotted rotors the additional setup helps cool the brakes under heavy use. As a result, your Mustang will be able to use its brakes without as much fade over multiple runs on the track, the dragstrip, or just in heavy use on the road. With upgraded rotors, your Mustang will be able to stop sooner and stay safer while driving.

Here at Steeda, we have been working on, racing, and modifying the Mustang platform for over 30 years and in that time we have learned what products are the best upgrades for the Mustang. Upgrading brakes to higher-performance options is always a good idea and the same holds true with the 2011-2014 Mustang platform. With many people pushing higher horsepower figures than stock, larger brakes like this are one of the best upgrades because they improve safety measures of the cars while also improving performance figures. We have tested these rotors on our personal vehicles and racing vehicles to ensure their performance meets our standards.
