Following the February 2008 formal Ground Breaking Ceremony, construction of the new Steeda Autosports facility in Valdosta Georgia has been proceeding right on schedule. Infrastructure improvements have been completed for all the utilities and the concrete pad for the massive 100,000 sq. ft. facility has been poured. Three weeks ago the exterior tilt wall panels that were prefabricated off-site were in process of being installed and currently, the assembly of the structural steel for the roof is in it's final stages of completion. This type of construction provides for a very quick on-site assembly process that is both exceptionally strong and provides for a very efficient structure that will maximize the productive environment for Steeda's business operations--surely benefiting our customers in the future.
Soon, work will progress on the various interior elements, and before you know it will be time to occupy the new facility. When ultimately completed, it will be filled with the latest state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, distribution, and office equipment, that will surely make it a benchmarking model for American automotive engineering and manufacturing.
Already the Steeda faithful have been making trips to check on our new facility. One such trip happened when Brandon Goldman and Jeff Ortino who could not wait for our 20th Anniversary celebration in June to see it for themselves. Jeff drove from South Florida to Georgia with his wife for a wedding and while there he "just had to" checked out our new site out for themselves. His posting on the www.SouthFloridaStangs.net website included some great construction progress photos and comments like "The new home of Steeda....This is one @#$% of an awesome place. I can't wait to see it when it is done......THE new home of Steeda was a must see (on my trip). All I can say is WOW....what a huge place!"
Breaking in early to life in Valdosta, Steeda will host an event for all Ford performance enthusiasts June 13th - 15th, where all Ford Mustang owners and other Ford performance enthusiasts are welcome to Steeda's 20th Anniversary Celebration. Expected to attract more than 1,000 participants to the area for a weekend of automotive excitement, this is one event you will not want to miss!
