SEBRING, Fla. - It's that time of the year again, for the SVTOA / Camp Steeda Sebring Sensation. This is an unbelievable opportunity for owners of Ford-powered street cars to drive their vehicles on the famous Sebring International Raceway April 30th to May 2nd, 2004. What could be more exciting for a performance enthusiast than to drive his or her own car on this world-renowned road racing circuit? Camp Steeda is designed not only to be exciting, but also educational. Tune up your driving skills with classroom and track side instruction provided by pros like Charles Espenlaub, Steeda's chief driving instructor. Steeda's tech guru, Dan Carlson, will be there to answer technical questions, and Steeda crew chief, Steve Chichisola, will be on hand to provide tips for race crews.
Sebring Sensation is one of eight Regional On Track events SVTOA will hold this year. It allows members to unleash the power and performance of their SVT products in a safe, responsible, yet exciting environment. SVTOA's Lead Driving Instructor, Jeff Lacina, and Steeda's Chief Driving Instructor, Charles Espenlaub, will provide a comprehensive ground school.
Friday night, the festivities will start with pre-registration and an informal reception at Chateau Elan. Saturday there will be a chance to hit the skid pad for new racers and those who want a quick refresher. All drivers will want to challenge the autocross. In addition, there will be a vendor fair where enthusiasts can get "up close and personal" with the manufacturers of the high-performance parts that can make their SVT products into a Sebring thoroughbred. Sunday is the Open Track on the Road Course all day long. Participants will also be able to see the latest Technology Transfer Program vehicles presented by Steeda and the Steeda #20 race car.
