When you choose to modify your 1979-1993 Mustang, you'll quickly realize why the Fox Body platform is so frequently used in racing and in street builds. Lightweight, easy to modify, and relatively affordable for a classic performance car, the Fox Body Mustang is capable of being an ultimate road car when done properly. However, with all of the performance capabilities, staying properly in the car is incredibly important for both personal safety and to keep you properly behind the wheel when driving so you can steer more accurately at speed. In addition to looking good, your driving experience will improve too.
Upgrading your Fox Body's seats plays a major role in your driving experience. After over 30 years, the seats are more than likely worn down and in need of either full reupholstering or simply replacing, and replacing them can provide added performance while driving. These performance seats have added bolstering and support over the factory seats, making them generally more comfortable and more performance driving capable. These seats leave room for customization in the interior by offering a wide range of styles to install.
Here at Steeda, we have been upgrading and racing Mustangs for over 35 years, and we have seen how big a role proper seating plays on and off of the racetrack. We got our start with this generation of Mustang, and we have seen how much of a difference these seats make when driving fast around the track. We have been running these different upgraded seating setups for as long as we have been on the racetrack and can personally vouch for the improved usability of these cars as track toys or canyon run cars. We use these seats in our Mustangs for daily use for their added comfort while also using them for autocross, drag racing, and track use for their additional support in the bends or under hard acceleration.
